All About the Our Generation Laundry Day Set
Caring for Your Our Generation Doll Accessories
The Laundry Day set comes fully assembled so you can have fun playing with it right out of the box! When you first bring home the Laundry Day set, the washing machine will already be wound-up to spin - you can start playing by turning the dials on the front of the appliance! (See the included instruction sheet for more details, or download a copy below!)
Please note:There is no need to wind it up again until the first "spin cycle" is finished and the washer stops spinning.
Spin Activation
On the back of the washer you will find a wind-up dial. Wind-up the washer by turning the dial clockwise. This will prepare the spin mechanism.
**Please be careful - if you wind up the machine too much, it can cause the spin mechanism to jam and the washer will get stuck!
Once you have turned the wind-up dial, your washer is ready for a load of laundry! Add a few items to the machine, close the door, and use the dial on the front to start tumbling and spinning!
Please be careful not to place too many items in the washer at one time - the Laundry Day set works best with 2-4 pieces of doll clothing inside.
One laundry cycle will last approximately 30 seconds. When the spinning and tumbling stops, your laundry is done! Take out your doll clothes, hang them up in your doll's wardrobe, and start again! Wind up the washer, put in your new batch of laundry, start the wash cycle, and repeat!
Troubleshooting
Uh-oh! Is your Laundry Day set having problems? The most common issue with this playset is caused by too much winding up, which results in a jammed spin mechanism. If it isn't spinning anymore, an adult can loosen the wind-up mechanism by gently but firmly knocking the toy against a hard surface like a countertop. Not too hard, please! We don't want your toy to break!

Doll accessories are not quite like accessories for people, so they need to be cared for in a special way. A little prevention can go a long way towards keeping your doll accessories nice and tidy for years to come!
Since doll accessories can be made of a range of materials, we recommend avoiding commercial cleaners and detergents as those products may damage your product.
For small messes, try using a clean, damp cloth to gently spot clean the products. First, sponge up as much of the mess as you can, then use warm water to gently rub the area. Let the item air-dry and repeat as needed.
It is also a very good idea to avoid exposing your doll accessories to heat sources like direct sunlight, irons, and clothes dryers, especially for items that contain plastics.
Remember, sometimes life gets messy, especially when you are having fun!
